British Council and Madad Azerbaijan started a joint project to expand educators' capacities to use electronic educational resources for teaching English. The project will increase the awareness of 100 teachers and 500 students about British Council resources on English language learning and instruction through the appropriate professional development opportunities. In 2012, the pilot project will benefit the educators from Baku, Sumgait, Shirvan, Goychay, and Mingachevir.
The initiative participants will participate in series of training sessions to learn techniques and develop their skills to use English language e-resources in education. Following the training, the educators will be able to network and share their best practices through the online and face-to-face communication means supported by British Council and Madad. Thus the innovative teaching resources by British Council will be integrated into the daily classroom activities.
