Internship Opportunity at Madad Azerbaijan


Title: Intern, Research and Development Department
Reports to: Research and Development Manager
Location: Baku, Azerbaijan
Time Commitment: 3 to 6 months
Deadline: December 20, 2012

About Organization:
Madad Azerbaijan was founded by the national staff of Relief International – Schools Online in 1999 and received its official license in 2000. Our mission is to provide educational solutions for professional development and make innovation in learning accessible to governments, businesses, and policymakers. Madad has successfully developed an independent identity and a diverse portfolio of innovative, relevant and sustainable programs in such spheres as development of education, implementation of ICT, reconstruction and building of school institutions, development of local communities, public health services, and enterprise development.

Position Summary:
The Intern for the Research and Development Department will be responsible for assisting with research, small-scale project implementation, coordination and reporting. This is an unpaid full-time position. This internship opportunity will provide candidates with valuable work experience, excellent references and certificates upon successful completion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare donor reports in coordination with the supervisor
  • Oversee the implementation of various small-scale projects
  • Explore new initiatives and diverse development projects
  • Communicate with beneficiaries and partners

    • Qualifications:
  • Fluency in English and Azeri is required. Knowledge of Russian will be an asset
  • University degree in social sciences is preferable
  • Experience in the relevant field is a plus
  • Strong Internet and computer skills
  • Research and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Well organized, ability to manage multiple projects at once, attention to details
  • Enthusiastic, a good negotiator and a team player
  • Ability to network and create positive, mutually co-operative relationships with partners
